Political Punchout: Day One of the Republican National Convention

Tuesday, July 19, 2016

Mark Alderman, chairman of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, and Jim Schultz, chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Government Law and Regulatory Affairs practice group, discuss day one of the Republican National Convention in their "Political Punchout" on NBC10 News. In particular, Mark and Jim discuss the Republican Party’s support for the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. Jim says, “We saw the never-Trumpers strike out and they took their bat and their ball and went home. Going forward we’re going to have a tremendous convention here. The party is clearly coming together.” Conversely, Mark says, “What we saw is what everybody knows. This party is not unified behind Donald Trump. As significant as the floor fight is who is not here, nationally and from Pennsylvania. This is Donald Trump’s convention, it is not the convention of a unified Republican party.”

Mark and Jim will be continuing the "Political Punchout" nightly from the RNC in Cleveland. See our 2016 Elections page for their insights.
