Ken Fisher, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Real Estate practice group, discusses a compromise crafted by Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito in order to receive Council's support of new housing proposals in Crain’s New York Business. The two proposals, Mandatory Inclusionary Housing and Zoning for Quality and Affordability, initially received resistance from Council members. The agreement between Mayor de Blasio and Speaker Mark-Viverito will assure the passage of the policies next week. Ken addressed the consensus saying, “When the mayor and the speaker are both on the same page, it’s not wise to bet against the house.”
