Jennifer Brandt, co-chair of the firm’s Family Law Practice, was a guest on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s radio show to discuss a bill pending in the New York Assembly and the Kaplan case in Pennsylvania. Jennifer informed listeners about a pending New York bill that would put an end to child marriage in New York by increasing the age of marriage to 17. Supporters of the bill say the current New York law can trap minors in forced marriages, sexual abuse and domestic violence. Jennifer also discussed the Lee Kaplan case of the Bucks County man who befriended a large family and made six young sisters his wives.
