Why a law degree could make you a better policymaker

Ken Fisher, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Business Law Department, discusses the advantages of obtaining a law degree for policymakers and others in public service in City & State New York. “Someone with a law degree is going to be able to get a higher level position even if it’s an executive capacity and not as a counsel capacity,” said Ken. He adds that having a law degree in a government position “doesn’t guarantee they’ll do a good job, but it will make it more likely that they’ll get one.”
