MINNEAPOLIS, August 10, 2022 — Minneapolis attorney Jon Schoenwetter, an associate in Cozen O’Connor’s Real Estate Practice, has been named a 2022 “Up & Coming” attorney by Minnesota Lawyer magazine.
Each year, Minnesota Lawyer recognizes a group of new attorneys off to a fast start in their legal careers. Schoenwetter focuses his practice on the acquisition, leasing, disposition, development, and operation of commercial real estate. He advises clients on obtaining financing, negotiating insurance, securing municipal entitlements, public grants and incentives, ensuring compliance, resolving non-performing assets, and navigating real estate disputes between both private and public actors.
Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Schoenwetter worked in residential and commercial real estate sales. While in law school, he gained legal real estate experience assisting in real estate and construction practice groups, practical experience at one of the nation’s largest construction companies and assisted judges in adjudicating bankruptcy cases in the Federal Bankruptcy Court.
Schoenwetter earned his bachelor's degree, with distinction, from Purdue University (B.A. 2015) and his law degree, cum laude, from University of Minnesota Law School (J.D. 2019).
