BOCA RATON, March 25, 2022 — Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that Ellen Morris has been selected as an honoree for the Daily Business Review’s annual Florida Legal Awards in the Innovator category. The Florida Legal Awards recognize attorney achievements across the Florida legal community in several categories, including Lifetime Achievement, General Counsel Impact, On the Rise, and Unsung Heroes. 

Morris concentrates her practice on elder law and special needs law transactions and litigation. She is a devoted advocate for her clients and participates in elder law and special needs law-related legislative initiatives, devoting much of her time to analyzing new laws and regulations affecting seniors, people with disabilities, and their families who require government services and protection. Morris is past chair of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar and co-chair of the Joint Public Policy Task Force for the Elderly and Disabled. She is a Washington Club and Congressional Club member of AIPAC and on the executive committee of AIPAC of South Florida. She frequently lectures to other professionals and charitable organizations on a variety of elder law topics, including Medicaid qualification and special needs trusts for disability planning.
