In Pennsylvania, Black voters’ concerns go beyond Fetterman gun incident

Joe Hill was quoted in the National Journal discussing Pennsylvania's front-runner for the Democratic nomination for Senate, John Fetterman. “Black voters I’ve spoken to feel that they have largely been taken for granted this cycle,” said Joe. “A few photo ops with elected officials and church visits isn’t enough.” “I'd like to hear them use their platform to talk about enshrining voting rights for African Americans in this country.” he said. He said white liberals have a tendency to assume Black people care about a narrow set of issues, like criminal justice and the social safety net, overlooking the fact that Black voters care about the same issues as all Americans.
