PHILADELPHIA, July 26, 2023 - Katayun Jaffari, chair of the Corporate Governance Practice and co-chair of the Capital Markets & Securities and ESG practices at Cozen O’Connor, has been named vice chair of the Advisory Board of the Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Institute at Drexel University. The institute combines high-quality academic research with diverse industry insights through its advisory board, leading to the development of cutting-edge programs and publications that address important boardroom issues. It houses two prominent centers: the Center for Corporate Governance and the Center for Nonprofit Governance, both of which are esteemed leaders in shaping governance standards across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors at both national and global levels.

Jaffari devotes her practice to advising boards of directors and executive management teams and handling complex securities transactions for businesses in a variety of industries. With more than 25 years of experience representing public and private companies, Jaffari has served as outside corporate counsel and has advised on the full panoply of corporate and securities law aspects of a wide range of matters. She also has extensive experience in compliance matters and mergers and acquisitions, including ongoing business counseling.
