The Cozen O’Connor Foundation is proud to support the Jennifer Otto Giotto Leadership Fellows Fund, a newly established endowment at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University, created to honor the life, legacy, and enduring impact of Jennifer Otto Giotto, L’90, a proud Duquesne Kline Law alumna who passed away on July 21, 2024.

Jennifer was the wife of Gene Giotto, who is Cozen O’Connor’s vice chair of Commercial Litigation. She was also a devoted mother, sister,  aunt, and a passionate advocate for her clients and community. Jennifer was deeply engaged in service throughout her life — volunteering with local schools, serving on civic commissions and nonprofit boards, and contributing her time and insight to organizations dedicated to education, leadership, and public service. Her commitment to leadership, integrity, and service reflected the highest ideals of the legal profession.

Jennifer embodied the values Duquesne Kline Law seeks to instill in its students: leadership, service, and civic engagement. Following her passing, Jennifer’s family, friends, and colleagues worked with her alma mater to establish a fund in her name, with the Cozen O’Connor Foundation and many of her husband’s colleagues honored to make a contribution in support of this effort. To date, The Leadership Fund has raised over $130,000.

The Jennifer Otto Giotto Leadership Fellows Fund will support students participating in Duquesne Kline Law’s Leadership Fellows Program. Launched in 2019, the program is designed to develop future attorneys who pair strong legal skills with the mindset and ability to lead and serve others. Leadership Fellows engage in programming that emphasizes self-reflection, values-driven leadership, and the characteristics of effective, ethical leaders.

The goal of the fund is to establish a permanent endowment that will provide annual support for program operations, helping to inspire and prepare future generations of lawyers who follow in Jennifer’s footsteps. The Cozen O’Connor Foundation is honored to support this meaningful tribute and the students it will benefit.
