Cozen O’Connor’s Corporate Practice has been named a finalist for Best Corporate Practice: Small/Midcap Deals by the American Lawyer. This award is part of the American Lawyer’s Industry Awards, and winners will be announced at the annual Industry Awards event in New York City on November 12. Other law firm finalists for Best Corporate Practice: Small/Midcap Deals include Covington & Burling, Hughes Hubbard & Reed, King & Spalding, McGuireWoods, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, and SMB Law Group.

In its nomination, the firm highlighted six deals completed between July 1, 2024 and May 31, 2026. These deals included Calavo Growers, Inc.'s sale to Mission Produce, Inc., Applecart's growth investment by Blackstone, JA Moody LLC's sale to New Heritage Capital, FNCB Bancorp, Inc.'s merger with Peoples Financial Services Corporation, PowerPay's asset-based financing with KeyBank, and Infinite Blue Holdings' sale to Everbridge, Inc. The firm’s Corporate Practice is “exceptional at representing these small- to mid-cap companies because we understand they are different from Fortune 100 companies but no less complicated,” according to the nomination.
