Howard S. Krooks is quoted in The New York Times discussing considerations for individuals evaluating continuing care retirement communities. The article examines the different contract options available to prospective residents and the financial considerations associated with each.

Howard also encouraged prospective residents to ask whether entrance fees are refundable, how monthly fees have changed over time, and what a community's occupancy rate is before making a commitment.
