MINNEAPOLIS, October 14, 2026 — Twin Cities Business has named Jana Aune Deach, co-office managing partner of Cozen O’Connor’s Minneapolis office, to its 2026 Notable Nonprofit Board Members list. This honor recognizes Minnesota leaders who make a meaningful impact through nonprofit board service and community engagement.
At Cozen O’Connor, Jana is a nationally recognized family law practitioner who helps clients navigate complex, high-stakes transitions and other challenging personal matters. Known for her thoughtful counsel and client-focused approach, she brings the same dedication and leadership to her nonprofit and community service efforts. She serves on the board of directors of Breaking Free, a Saint Paul nonprofit supporting survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation, and on the grants committee of GIVING WoMN, helping direct funding to nonprofit organizations across the region.
Jana also leads local volunteering initiatives for Cozen O’Connor, organizing efforts that support organizations including Loaves & Fishes, Feed My Starving Children and Ronald McDonald House. Her leadership experience includes service with the Mindekirken Foundation and as president of the Congregation for Mindekirken, where she welcomed dignitaries from Norway, chaired the executive committee and worked closely with church leadership to advance the organization’s mission.
In addition to her community service, Jana is recognized as a leader in family law. Her recent honors include being named Best Lawyers’ 2026 Family Law Lawyer of the Year and a 2026 Doyle’s Guide Leading Family Law Attorney.
