Howard Schweitzer, managing partner of Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies, published an article on CNN about the House Republicans reversing their decision to reform the Office of Congressional Ethics. In the article titled, "A teachable moment for House Republicans," Howard discusses how tweets by Donald Trump bashing the decision may have influenced the House Republicans to repeal. However, even though the proposal was pulled, "the damage to the incoming Congress's image was already done," Howard writes. He adds, "If House Republicans want to get back on track, they will need to treat this as a teachable moment on the lessons of transparency in the Age of Trump."
