Navigating NBA's New CBA During Misconduct Investigations [Law360]

Jeffrey Monhait and Stephen Miller discuss the new collective bargaining agreement between the NBA and the NBA Players Association in their Law360 article, "Navigating NBA's New CBA During Misconduct Investigations." Although the new collective bargaining agreement's investigatory and disciplinary measures remain largely unchanged from the 2011 agreement, the new CBA presents an opportunity to review the general investigatory and disciplinary powers of both the teams and the league in order to assist players and their representatives in navigating this process. The article examines two previous incidents and offers tips to players and teams as they try to obtain the best outcomes in these situations.
