Kyle’s civil litigation practice is focused on the prosecution of subrogated claims. He has significant experience in complex property loss matters, including construction negligence, municipal liability, product liability, fire and flood losses, transportation incidents, and employee fraud.
Prior to his current role, Kyle served as subrogation legal counsel with an international property and casualty insurance company, where he also completed his articles. In that capacity, he secured millions of dollars in recoveries for his clients and assumed responsibility for all aspects of subrogated claims, from initial assessment through to resolution. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Small Claims Court, and has represented clients in motions, examinations for discovery, mediations, judgment enforcement proceedings, and trials.
Kyle holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in kinesiology and a Juris Doctor from Western University. During law school, he participated in multiple moot court competitions and completed an internship with Pro Bono Ontario.
Outside of his professional practice, Kyle enjoys travelling with his wife, cooking, and playing golf. He is conversant in Swedish.
