Michael focuses his practice in the areas of tax, estate and gift planning, charitable giving, trust and estate administration, business structuring, wealth preservation, and corporate law. He is certified as a wills, trusts and estates specialist by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education.
Michael has extensive experience working with high net worth clients and has drafted a variety of estate planning documents, including irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable trusts, private foundations (including preparation of IRS Form 1023 and related documents), qualified personal residence trusts, family dynasty trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, domestic asset protection trusts, spousal lifetime access trusts, decanting and other trust modifications, generation skipping transfer tax planning, as well as basic wills, revocable trusts, and business succession planning and restructuring.
Prior to going to law school, Michael worked for the investment banking firm of Morgan Stanley.
Michael earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston University. Michael earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Washington College of Law at American University, and his LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
