Joceline Herman

Joceline brings more than a decade of experience representing businesses, insurers, and individuals in complex civil litigation. Her practice encompasses commercial litigation, employment disputes, professional liability, and tort and catastrophic loss claims, with a particular focus on high-exposure and multi-jurisdictional matters.

Joceline manages all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. She has extensive courtroom experience, having served as first- and second-chair in jury and bench trials, and has taken and defended hundreds of depositions. Her practice also includes significant experience in mediation and arbitration, where she has successfully resolved complex disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.

Prior to joining Cozen O'Connor, Joceline was a partner in the Tort and Catastrophic Loss practice of an Am Law 200 firm, where she focused on Construction and Design Law, defended insurance carriers and their insureds. Previously, as an associate, she handled a broad range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, breach of fiduciary duty, and insurance bad faith cases.

Joceline earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a member of the N.Y. Litigator Journal, and her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has held several leadership roles with the Jewish Community Relations Council, where she works with government officials and community leaders on advocacy priorities. Joceline is also a member of Jewish Federations of North America's National Young Leadership Cabinet, a national five year leadership fellowship.
