Geng Hua, Ph.D.

Associate

Geng focuses his practice on patent prosecution and litigation and strategic counseling in pharmaceuticals, polymers, chemical engineering, optics, 3D printing, batteries, and metallurgy technologies. He assists clients with drafting and prosecuting patent applications globally, securing intellectual property rights across the United States, China, Japan, Australia, Korea, and Europe.

Geng is also skilled in drafting discovery request responses, preparing Paragraph IV notice letters, drafting contentions, and assisting with depositions. Additionally, he provides guidance on freedom to operate, patentability, infringement, portfolio analysis, and patent due diligence, helping clients navigate complex patent landscapes.

Geng earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was the Thomas Fessenden IP Law Scholar, served as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law, Technology and the Internet, and was the co-president of the Student IP Law Association.
