Geng focuses his practice on patent litigation with an emphasis on Hatch-Waxman litigation. He represents generic and innovator pharmaceutical companies in complex patent disputes and has experience in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, Paragraph IV disputes, fact discovery, claim construction, expert discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. He also advises clients on strategic patent matters, including portfolio development, freedom-to-operate assessments, infringement and validity analyses, and global patent protection across a broad range of chemical technologies, including polymers, batteries, formulations, additive manufacturing, and specialty and advanced materials.
Geng earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was a Thomas Fessenden Intellectual Property Law Scholar. He served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law, Technology & the Internet and as co-president of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association.
