Jacob Morse

Associate

Jacob, a versatile associate with strong writing and research abilities, concentrates his practice on business litigation. He is part of Cozen O’Connor’s Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice team and assists clients in cases involving the Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and Genetic Information Privacy Act (GIPA). Prior to joining the firm, he served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Justice Steven B. Gould of the Maryland Supreme Court from 2022-2023. There, Jacob researched and drafted bench memoranda to prepare for oral arguments and assist in writing opinions. He also gained experience reviewing and synthesizing petitions for writ of certiorari. Before that, he served as a summer associate with a Maryland-based civil litigation firm.

Jacob earned his B.A., with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania. Before earning his J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law, Jacob worked as an immigration paralegal, assisting Spanish-speaking clients seeking immigration benefits such as asylum, permanent residence, and citizenship.
