Kira Rivera

Counsel

Kira concentrates her practice on high exposure catastrophic casualty litigation and complex tort litigation, involving product liability, negligence and premises liability, defamation, employment discrimination and commercial litigation. With hundreds of cases under her belt, Kira's clients benefit from her excellent legal writing, public speaking, and advocacy skills and her experience in all phases of representation, from the initial assignment to trial, mediation, or settlement.  

Prior to joining the firm, Kira was a senior litigation associate with an NLJ 500 firm, where she represented clients in complex litigation, including defending against professional, premises, and product liability claims. Before that, she was an associate with a Pennsylvania-based insurance defense firm. Over her decade of practice, Kira has also had experience defending equipment manufacturers, outside contractors, brokers, real estate agents, engineering and architectural firms, medical and health care professionals, assisted living facilities, personal care homes, skilled nursing facilities, acute and long-term care hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and management services companies against a variety of claims, including general liability, catastrophic loses, design defect, and professional negligence.

Kira earned her B.A. from Oberlin College and her J.D., cum laude, from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was the executive copy editor of the Duquesne University Health Law Journal. She also holds an LL.M. in Litigation Management from the Baylor University School of Law, where she sharpened her skills as a litigator and studied business strategies, data analytics, complex arbitration and negotiation, case assessment, e-discovery management, proving and attacking damages, and crisis management.
