John Tsiofas is the director of Canadian operations at Cozen O’Connor LLP. In this role, John supports the firm’s chief operating officer and the firm’s senior management team in overseeing all firm operational and administrative areas across Canada. He brings to the firm more than 35 years of experience working specifically within the legal industry.
Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, John spent a combined 15 years as chief operating officer at two of Canada’s top national law firms. He has also served as a senior management consultant and Interim CEO with a leading New York consulting firm that specializes in providing consulting services to the legal industry. As a consultant, he spent seven years providing a wide array of management and technology consulting services to numerous Am Law 100 law firms as well as major corporations across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. John also spent several years working with one of the legal industry’s top software vendors, where he held a variety of positions including manager of product development, chair of the Product Strategy Committee and vice president.
He has spoken and presented many times to legal industry groups such as the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), Legaltech, and the American Corporate Counsel Association on an array of topics relating to operational management and technology. John studied computer science and economics at the University of Toronto. He is a past member of the board of directors and the Audit Committee of the National Ballet of Canada and he is an instrument rated, private pilot in both Canada and the United States.
