Employee theft — unfortunately, no one is immune. This complimentary 1.5 hour CLE seminar will explore a hypothetical employee theft and discuss the various legal issues implicated by this conduct and options an employer should consider in responding effectively to the problem.
Discussion panels will include:
Internal Investigation – stopping the bleeding and preserving options; instituting remedial measures; reimbursing customers and other victims.
Employment Implications – identifying appropriate disciplinary measures or sanctions; addressing issues such as severance, whistleblower protections and other labor related matters.
Self-Reporting – exploring the decision to report to law enforcement and the significant consequences of that decision.
