David Zambito, co-chair of the firm's Utility, Environmental & Energy Practice, will lead a presentation on the fair market value rate-setting mechanism for water companies at the 2018 American Water Summit. The fair market value ratemaking mechanism allows municipalities to sell water systems for higher amounts than have been traditionally permitted under depreciated original cost ratemaking. David’s presentation titled, “Is Fair Value the Game Changer for Private Water?,” will discuss the impact of the new ratemaking system and how it could open up the market for investors in the sector.
