Stephanie Nashban and Irene Yesowitch will be presenting at the 2019 CLM New York Conference. Stephanie will be presenting on a panel titled, "Statutory Revival of Molestation Liabilities: Coverage & Claims Handling Guidance Against the Deluge." Abuse and molestation claims against churches and religions of all faiths and their clergy are unfortunately not new. However, the insurance coverage, or the lack thereof, and the contests for the same are taking churches by surprise. This session will survey the various theories of liability, coverage implications and defenses, and the allegations or potential allegations of extracontractual exposure.
Irene will be presenting on a panel titled, "Year in Review: Part One." During this panel, a dynamic lineup of industry professionals and legal experts will review and debate the most important 2019 extracontractual cases from across the country. By engaging and involving the audience, participants will promote litigation and claim management practices and procedures to achieve optimal results in extracontractual claims as well as those under threat of the same.
