Cozen O’Connor Member Aaron Krauss Lectures For Chilean & American Chamber Of Commerce

Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Cozen O’Connor member Aaron Krauss recently lectured for the Chilean and American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia. Krauss spoke on product liability in the food industry, and ways to design contracts to address which company or supplier bears liability if contamination is discovered. The Chilean and American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia is a non-profit, apolitical organization created to improve commercial relations between the Republic of Chile and the Greater Philadelphia region.

The chamber brings together people and businesses through participation in a variety of activities and programs, and assists entrepreneurs and investors from one nation interested in establishing contacts in the other by providing material valuable to the conduct of importing and exporting activities.

Krauss, a commercial litigator, concentrates his practice in business, labor and employment, and intellectual property litigation. An active participant in community service organizations, Krauss is a leader in the United Way’s Campaign for Working Families and is chairman of the board of directors of Philabundance, a food rescue organization that distributes millions of pounds of food each year to organizations that feed the hungry. He also recruits and schedules Cozen O’Connor volunteers to prepare taxes for underprivileged city residents at no charge, so that more of Philadelphia’s working poor receive the Earned Income Tax Credit.

A resident of Meadowbrook, Pa., Krauss earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan (B.A., magna cum laude, 1988) and his law degree at the University of Pennsylvania (J.D., magna cum laude, 1991). Upon graduating from law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Edward N. Cahn of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Third and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
