Cozen O’Connor Member Josh M. Greenbaum Lectures On Product Liability For AAIS

Cozen O’Connor member Josh M. Greenbaum recently lectured for the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS) at the organization’s 2008 Main Event Conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Greenbaum’s lecture, entitled “Hazardous Imports and Products Liability,” discussed the product liability issues that arise from importing tainted goods, including personal jurisdiction, risk mitigation, specialized insurance coverage, importer exposure, indemnity provisions, key contractual terms, class certification, and the problems of litigating against a foreign manufacturer.

A member of the commercial litigation practice group in Cozen O’Connor’s Philadelphia office, Greenbaum focuses on matters involving liquor liability, product liability, construction litigation, casualty defense and complex torts. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict, including major jury trials in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He also has tried numerous bench trials, administrative law hearings, and private and compulsory arbitration cases, and has mediated alternate dispute resolution forums.

Greenbaum has argued appeals in New Jersey Appellate Courts, Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Pennsylvania Superior Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Greenbaum is a past president of the Philadelphia Association of the Defense Counsel. He is also a committee member of the Defense Research Institute and a past committee member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. He is a frequent lecturer for the PLRB and the Insurance Society of Philadelphia. Greenbaum has been named a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics.

Greenbaum earned his undergraduate degree from West Chester State College (B.A., 1981) and his law degree from Widener University School of Law (J.D., 1988).
