Cozen O’Connor member Sarah A. Kelly recently presented at the 16th Annual Conference of the American Employment Law Council, held at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. Kelly and co-presenter Joan Engstrom, Deputy General Counsel - Employment for General Mills, Inc., spoke on the topic “Email Monitoring, Internet Access and Blogging: A Survey of Employers’ Rights and Employees’ Responsibilities.” The American Employment Law Council is the nation’s premier organization of senior labor and employment attorneys representing employers in the United States. Its members include both in-house counsel and outside counsel. Its purpose is to serve as a meeting ground for lawyers committed to professional excellence in the resourceful and principled representation of employers.
Kelly concentrates her practice in employment law and related litigation. She has more than 23 years of experience at leading law firms and as in-house counsel for two major financial services corporations. She is a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
Kelly is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a member of the American Bar Association and its labor and employment law section and equal employment opportunity law committee. She is also a member of the American Employment Law Council and the Philadelphia Bar Association. She frequently lectures at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s annual Employment Law Institute and often speaks to client groups on how to address employment law issues in the every day workplace.
Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University (B.A., 1977) and her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D., 1985).
