Cozen O’Connor recently announced that Angelo Savino joined as member of the global insurance group. Savino will practice from the firm’s New York Downtown office. His arrival marks Cozen O’Connor’s continued growth in the New York market, with the firm welcoming more than 30 attorneys in recent months and increasing its presence in the city to almost 100.
Savino joins from Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass. With 25-plus years experience in the field, he focuses on matters involving directors & officers, professional errors and omissions, fiduciary, and employment practices liability insurance, and corporate indemnification. Representing major D&O and fiduciary insurers in high profile U.S. and international cases, Savino has handled all aspects of coverage analysis, claims management, mediation and settlement of claims, including securities class actions, derivative actions, governmental investigations and actions, employment practices, ERISA and other complex litigation.
Savino has also litigated coverage cases in state and federal courts for professional liability insurers involving a wide variety of coverage terms and provisions.
A resident of New York, Savino earned his law degree (J.D., 1981) from Fordham University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Fordham Law Review, and his undergraduate degree (B.A., 1978) from Fordham College.
Savino is admitted to the New York Bar and to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and the New York State and American bar associations.
