ATLANTA – Tuesday, February 5, 2019 – Alycen Moss, a member of Cozen O'Connor’s Global Insurance Department, has been elected by the board of directors for a U.S. Defense Counsel membership in the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC). The FDCC comprises U.S. and international civil defense litigators, senior corporate counsel, and insurance claims executives and is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism for lawyers and other professionals striving to achieve a balanced justice system in the defense of civil lawsuits.

Membership in the FDCC is limited, selective, and by nomination only, requires a rigorous peer review, and nominees must exhibit high professional standing and good moral character, while being leaders in-house and in the courthouse. Moss becomes the fifth Cozen O’Connor lawyer to be admitted to the FDCC.

Moss, co-chair of the Property Insurance practice at Cozen O’Connor, has extensive experience handling matters pertaining to property, casualty, and trucking insurance and she also defends the carriers in lawsuits brought by the insureds. Additionally, she regularly litigates civil and commercial matters pertaining to transportation and logistics and mass and complex torts.

In addition to being an FDCC member, Moss is the co-chair of the Insurance Coverage section and creator/co-chair of the Women Litigators section of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, Atlanta Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the state bars of Georgia and North Carolina. Moss routinely participates in providing pro bono services through cooperation with the Georgia Legal Services Program. Moss earned her law degree from Georgia State University School of Law and undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.
