David Hackett Named Chairman of the Board of Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry

PHILADELPHIA, December 6, 2021 — David Hackett, member of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment Department, assumed a two-year term as chairman of the board of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry.  Hackett has served on the board for the past five years, serving as chair-elect for the past two years. 

The Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry has over 650 members and is a zealous advocate for business community in Chester County and throughout the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  As a “chamber of influence” and the largest chamber in Chester County, it serves as the voice for business on local, state, and federal level issues that impact business.

Hackett assumed his new role at the chamber’s 2021 Annual Awards Celebration held at Longwood Gardens. He hosted the event that was attended by 300 business, government, and community leaders and raised over $200,000 for the chamber’s efforts. The awards celebration honored 2021 Executive of the Year Mike Duncan, CEO of Chester County Hospital, and the Citizens of the Year Dave Magrogan, CEO of Harvest Seasonal, and Bob Rafetto, past-owner of the Dilworthtown.

Hackett focuses his practice on representing and counseling employers concerning the full spectrum of labor and employment-related issues. Hackett has represented employers before federal and state courts, arbitration hearings, and administrative agencies. He has defended claims of unlawful discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour violations, wrongful discharge, unfair labor practices, unemployment compensation, breach of contract, and whistleblower complaints, as well as non-compete, non-solicitation, and trade secret litigation. He has also assisted employers with opposing unionization efforts and collective bargaining negotiations.
