Commercial Real Estate Gets Some Good News in City Council Primary

Ken Fisher is quoted in the Commercial Observer discussing the 2023 City Council primary election.

Several pro-business candidates won their respective races, signaling a potential shift in the city's approach to real estate policies. The victory of these candidates is being viewed as a boost for commercial real estate developers and investors, who anticipate more favorable conditions in the city's real estate market. In East Brooklyn, Charles Barron has lost his City Council seat to Chris Banks, a community activist, by approximately 400 votes, with 95 percent of ballots tallied.

“Charles was very intelligent and engaging, but at the end of the day, his constituents realized he wasn’t effective, and he played the role of prophet well,” Ken states.
