Cozen O’Connor Attorneys Jeremy Glenn, Erin Hines and Anna Wermuth Named Among Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Leaders in Law

Monday, August 17, 2026

Three Cozen O’Connor attorneys — Jeremy Glenn, Erin Hines, and Anna Wermuth — have been named to Crain’s Chicago Business 2026 list of Notable Leaders in Accounting, Consulting & Law.

This marks the sixth time Crain’s has recognized Wermuth and the fourth recognition for Glenn — for their various legal, civic and charitable contributions. This is the second recognition Hines has received from Crain’s this year — having earlier been named as one of its “2026 Notable Women In Law.”

Jeremy Glenn, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor and Employment practice, is the firm’s Chicago office managing partner, overseeing more than 60 attorneys and professional staff. He also serves on Cozen O’Connor’s board of directors and Executive Management Committee.

With over 25 years’ experience handling employment disputes and negotiations, Glenn has defended class action wage and hour overtime disputes, EEO class actions, and retaliatory discharge cases. He has tried dozens of labor arbitrations along with leading collective bargaining negotiations for employers and employee associations covering thousands of employees.

Glenn is a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and has served as co-chair of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section’s federal labor standards committee, devoted to federal wage and hour laws. He received his J.D (1997) from The University of Iowa and a B.S.B.A. (1994) from Drake University.

Erin Hines is vice chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice, co-leading one of the first biometric privacy and pixel-related class action defense practices in the nation, and one of the few such women-led practices. She represents marquee clients in complex matters governing the collection, use, storage, disposal, tracking, and disclosure of sensitive personal and health related consumer and employer information.

Hines Biometric Privacy team — a leader in biometric privacy law — has defended more Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) class-action lawsuits than any practice nationally and leads the BIPA appellate strategy for Illinois.

A former member of the board of directors for the Chicago Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law, Hines received her J.D. (1998) from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. (1991) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Anna Wermuth is co-chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment practice where she has represented management in labor and employment litigation before state and federal courts and administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board for over 25 years. She is also highly recognized for her work representing colleges and universities in faculty/staff/student litigation, union representation cases, and collective bargaining negotiations.

A fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, Wermuth currently serves on the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section’s Governing Council and on the Advisory Committee for the Study of the Rules of Practice and Internal Operating Procedures of the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts of the Northern District of Illinois.

She has also held numerous leadership positions in the ABA including serving as the management co-vice chair for the Section’s National Trial Advocacy Competition and as the employer-vice-chair of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Legal Profession Committee. Wermuth received her J.D. (1999) from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, an M.A. (1992) from Northwestern University, and a B.A. (1991) from DePaul University.
