Kris Cherevas, a member of the firm's Subrogation & Recovery Department, has been appointed to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation Board of Directors. She will serve a three-year term. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation supports the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, with its firefighters, lifeguards, and personnel serving the City of San Diego, the second largest city in California. Founded by former firefighters and community leaders committed to public safety, the Foundation’s mission is to strengthen the department’s ability to protect the community by providing enhanced equipment, training, technology, public education, and program resources.
Kris serves as Office Managing Partner in the San Diego office and is a member of the firm's management committee. As an attorney in the firm's Subrogation & Recovery Department, Kris represents our insurance company clients in the pursuit of large loss real property subrogation claims, including actions for negligence, product liability, government claims, breach of contract, etc. Her involvement in the firm reaches further than cases and clients, as she is actively involved in Cozen O'Connor's Women's Initiative and the Culture and Belonging Committee. She also currently serves as the editor of the Subrogation Law & Recovery Blog. In addition to her work with the firm, Kris is avid in community service and pro bono legal work. She currently serves as volunteer judge for the San Diego Teen Court and provides legal services at events for Wills for Heroes and Stand Down.
