Mark Vacha, a member of Cozen O’Connor’s Public & Project Finance Practice Group, discusses crowdfunding in the Government Finance Officers Association of Pennsylvania’s The Ledger. In particular, Mark focuses on whether crowdfunding and related SEC guidance and regulations have a place in the world of municipal finance. Mark says that, “While the stage is not fully set, crowdfunding could (with certain limitations) join traditional public bond offerings and bank loans in the municipal-sector borrowing toolbox.” Mark suggests that run crowdfunding is likely to become a “modest supplement” to traditional finance.
