Representing the Creditors' Committee: A Guide for Practitioners

Mark Felger, co-chair of Cozen O’Connor’s Bankruptcy, Insolvency & Restructuring practice group, co-authored and edited a book titled Representing the Creditors’ Committee: A Guide for Practitioners along with several members of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Unsecured Trade Creditors Committee. The book details the challenges that professionals who represent creditors’ committees face as they try to give holders of general unsecured claims a voice in whether a debtor will be reorganized, sold as a going concern or liquidated. Unsecured creditors range from small creditors with small claims to institutional creditors with multi-million dollar claims, and practitioners need to understand how to effectively represent the varied interests. The book is a resource that offers guidance on how to maximize the value of a debtor’s assets and offers practical tips for every step of the Chapter 11 process.
