While the Medical Marijuana Act will not be fully implemented for almost two more years and the infrastructure for what will be an entirely new medical-marijuana industry in Pennsylvania is still taking shape, Pennsylvania's medical-marijuana law will pose a number of challenges for employers. This article addresses the key points that employers in the commonwealth must understand about the act, which went into effect on May 17, 2016, and what they can do the address the requirements of this new law.
