Maura is a member of the New York Public Strategies team, providing support to the group’s government relations professionals at the state and local level. In this role, she researches and tracks legislation, analyzes policy, monitors public hearings, and tracks media coverage.
Prior to joining the firm, Maura served as legislative director for Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato in Rockaway Beach, New York, where she primarily worked on legislation related to environmental protection, small business, and health care. More recently, she spent time working for NYC Health and Hospitals. While pursuing her education, Maura interned for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Representative Grace Meng, and Assemblywoman Nily Rozic. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Maura worked as a finance and digital media fellow supporting local and Congressional Democratic campaigns in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Maura graduated magna cum laude from St. John’s University with a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in public administration.
