Kim's practice is focused on private and public mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and corporate reorganizations. She has experience structuring and negotiating share and asset purchase deals, corporate reorganizations, and other complex transactional matters across various industries. Kim regularly counsels clients on due diligence, purchase agreements, and closing processes, as well as post-closing matters.
In addition to her M&A work, Kim advises clients on capital markets transactions, including private placements, particularly in connection with acquisition and growth strategies. She also assists boards of directors and special committees on governance and regulatory issues that arise in the context of M&A and financing transactions.
Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Kim was an associate at one of Western Canada's leading law firms, where she practiced in the mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and capital markets groups.
She holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia and a B.A. from the University of Prince Edward Island.
