Ruben focuses his practice on labor and employment matters, representing employers in civil litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and appeals.
He has experience advising clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including regulatory compliance, immigration, discrimination, wage and hour issues, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants. Ruben's work includes drafting and negotiating employment agreements and workplace policies, as well as counseling employers on compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
Through the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General's Honors Program, Ruben has previously served as a judicial law clerk for Immigration Judges at the Executive Office for Immigration Review's Houston Immigration Court.
Ruben earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University, where he served as vice president of the Latino Law Students Association. During law school, he completed clerkships and internships with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Ohio, the Ohio Attorney General's Office, and the Ohio Legislative Service Commission. He also earned an M.A. in public policy from The Ohio State University. Ruben received his B.A., cum laude, from Miami University.
