Wendy K. Venoit was named a 2026 Massachusetts Super Lawyer and Michael Filbin and Katherine Hains were named a 2026 Massachusetts Rising Stars.

Katherine represents clients in strategic risk management and complex litigation, with experience handling product and premises liability, construction disputes, toxic torts, and other high-stakes insurance matters. She is experienced in all phases of litigation and manages cases from initial filing through resolution, including trial and alternative dispute resolution. Katherine regularly represents clients in mediation and arbitration and works closely with them to develop practical, efficient strategies tailored to each case.

Katherine earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, where she was active in the Women’s Law Association and represented indigent clients through the Suffolk Defenders Clinic. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University.

Before joining Cozen O'Connor, Katherine practiced in the Boston office of a litigation defense firm, where she handled high-exposure products liability, premises liability, construction accidents, automotive matters, toxic torts, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases.

Katherine is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section Council and a 2025 graduate of the IADC Trial Academy.
