Melanie Kersey

Associate

Melanie focuses her practice on matters involving life insurance and annuities.

Before joining the firm, Melanie gained experience at a leading national law firm, where she handled white collar defense and investigative matters. Her experience included corporate and regulatory compliance, False Claims Act matters, and federal criminal defense. She analyzed client documents for legal and regulatory risks, assisted with case strategy and internal investigations, and drafted court filings, investigation reports, and declination presentations to government agencies.

Melanie earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as a staff editor and later as a note/comment editor for the Temple Law Review. While in law school, Melanie interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Mia Roberts Perez of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She received both her M.P.A. and B.S. from the University of Arizona.
