Leslie is a member who practices all aspects of construction law. She has over 20 years of experience in construction law and litigation, handling a variety of mediations, arbitrations, and litigation matters in state, federal, and tribal court, as well as high-profile construction appeals.

Before joining the firm, Leslie was a shareholder at a national law firm regularly representing residential and commercial owners, contractors, and several design professionals, including architects, engineers, landscape architects, and interior designers. She assists clients in all stages of a construction project and regularly negotiates contracts on behalf of construction industry clients in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Arizona.

In 2020, Leslie was recognized as the Connecticut Law Tribune’s “Attorney of the Year” for successfully representing the City of Hartford in a complex, six-week jury trial related to the termination of the developer and contractor from the construction of a minor league baseball stadium. As part of her representation, Leslie successfully negotiated a takeover agreement on behalf of Hartford with the surety that took responsibility for the completion of the construction of the stadium. She was also successful in post-trial motions enabling Hartford to move forward with the development of parcels surrounding the ballpark, and continued her representation of Hartford in recent appeals related to the stadium litigation.

Leslie regularly presents on legal issues affecting design professionals at local AIA branches and has been a guest lecturer in the Yale School of Architecture’s professional practices seminar. She also serves on Grace Farms’ Design for Freedom working group to raise awareness of modern slavery in construction supply chains.

Leslie received her J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law. She earned her B.A., graduating cum laude from Wellesley College where she studied French.
