Joe Rich, a member of the Subrogation & Recovery Department, passed the Federal Bar Examination for the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. Unlike most federal courts that allow admission without an examination, the District of Puerto Rico requires applicants to sit for a multiple choice and essay examination covering topics of Federal Civil and Criminal Procedure, Federal Sentencing, Evidence, Jurisdiction and Venue, Appellate Procedure, Ethics, and the Bankruptcy Code. Only 30 percent of the attorneys who took the exam passed.
