Abigail C. Kanavos will speak on the panel, "The Relatedness Lab: Rules and Results" at the ABA's 2026 Women in Insurance Network Regional CLE Program in Chicago, Illinois.
The interactive session will explore the insurance coverage concept of “related” or “interrelated” claims, and why that issue is often outcome-determinative in coverage disputes. In the relatedness “lab,” participants will dissect and analyze modified versions of key relatedness decisions, and work through scenario-based exercises and evolving hypotheticals to evaluate whether claims are sufficiently connected under different jurisdictional standards.
