Cozen O’Connor is pleased to announce that John Ho has joined the firm’s Labor & Employment Department and will be located in the New York office. Ho will be a member at the firm and joins Cozen O’Connor from Bond, Schoeneck and King. His practice focuses on wage and hour matters involving federal and state regulations, including the Miscellaneous Industries Wage Orders, the Hospitality Wage Order, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act, as well as discrimination claims, workplace investigations and arbitration.
“John’s hiring continues an exciting trend of strategic growth of our labor and employment practice,” said Joe Tilson, chair of Cozen O'Connor’s Labor & Employment Department and also named as a worldwide leader in labor and employment law by Chambers Global this year. “He brings focused experience to the benefit of our clients with operations in New York.”
Ho has defended numerous types of employers against dual filed collective actions under the FLSA and the New York Labor Law. He also frequently assists companies with internal wage and hour audits, as well as Department of Labor audits, including those generated by independent contractor issues with New York unemployment filings. Ho adds depth to the firm’s nationally recognized practice and helps continue the firm’s growth in New York.
“I am honored to join such a dynamic and distinguished firm as Cozen O'Connor,” said Ho. “The firm’s labor and employment attorneys are consistently recognized as leading counsel across the country. The firm provides a national platform across all areas of the law to my clients.”
Cozen O’Connor recently added a number of labor and employment attorneys from Meckler Bulger in Chicago, as well as attorneys Susan Eisenberg and Jennifer Williams in Miami. Eisenberg is the second Cozen O’Connor attorney to be named by Chambers Global as a worldwide leader in labor and employment law this year. Cozen O’Connor’s Labor & Employment practice is nationally recognized by Chambers USA.
Ho received his J.D. from St. John’s University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut.
