David Barron, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Labor & Employment department, discusses how to keep politics out of the workplace in the Houston Chronicle. Political discussions may become heated and some will be offended. It happens when you mix politics, values and emotions in a daily chat. But that's when employers need to step in, cool things down and put some limits on such talk in the workplace. "When it comes to things like race, gender, ethnicity and religion, those are issues where an employer has a legal duty to take action if an employee complains," said David.
