The article discusses a unanimous ruling where Pennsylvania justices affirmed a decision by the state's Superior Court that an insurance carrier's motive of self-interest or ill will is merely one factor that may be considered in an analysis of potential bad faith conduct. In the article Stephen discusses bad faith and is quoted saying, "I say it is unworkable because a trial court will have a to struggle to define the different factors and decide how important the intent factor should be."
