David Barron, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Labor & Employment department, was quoted in the Houston Chronicle about the impact of drug-addicted employees on companies. Texas businesses also suffer. Unemployment is down to 4 percent, which triggers intense competition for workers who can meet the prerequisites. Solid blue collar jobs working in the oil fields, driving a truck or operating heavy equipment usually require a clean drug test. Fewer Americans can pass. “It’s getting harder to enforce drug testing policies and still find qualified workers,” said David.
