Nadine Menendez Seeks Bail Pending Second Circuit Appeal [Law360]

Nadine Menendez was sentenced in September to four and a half years in prison following her conviction at trial for taking bribes in exchange for arranging political favors from her husband and former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez. In a motion filed yesterday, Mrs. Menendez urged the Court to order her continued release on bail pending appeal and impose the same bail conditions set at the time of her arrest in September of 2023.

"The government trampled upon Nadine's fundamental constitutional rights. We are hopeful that Judge Stein and the Second Circuit do the right thing and let her stay out on bail while the circuit takes up this important issue," said Sarah Krissoff, Mrs. Menendez’s counsel.
