Nadine Menendez Seeks Bail Pending Second Circuit Appeal [Law360]

Nadine Menendez was sentenced in September to four and a half years in prison following her conviction at trial for taking bribes in exchange for arranging political favors from her husband and former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez. In a motion filed yesterday, Mrs. Menendez urged the Court to order her continued release on bail pending appeal and impose the same bail conditions set at the time of her arrest in September of 2023.

Emma concentrates her practice on business litigation.

Most recently, Emma served as a law clerk to the Hon. James R. Cho of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, where she drafted decisions on various issues, including federal labor law, securities class actions, civil rights, and others. Prior to clerking, Emma worked for another Am Law 100 firm, where she focused primarily on antitrust litigation.  

Emma earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Rutgers University, and her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Georgetown Law Journal. While in law school, Emma interned with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and for the Hon. Zia M. Faruqui of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Before entering law school, Emma worked as a corporate paralegal with a top international law firm and was seconded to one of the world's largest asset management and private equity firms.
